Woodlands Studio

As an artist based in Kinross-shire, I have spent many years travelling to Kintyre during holidays, to visit Grandparents and extended family.

I have a studio in the garden that has given me a quiet space to explore my creativity and allow me to develop my interpretation of how I view the dramatic landscape in and around Kintyre.

When I am researching for new paintings, I find myself delving into a sensory overload of sounds, smells and sights that generate many thoughts and evoke different memories.

I have built up sketches and photographs, documenting the continually changing landscape which is hugely influenced by the changeable weather, seasonal differences and the reflections caused by the shifting light.

Our family lab Barley is a great companion while out and about researching as well as by my side while painting.
